Yeovilton Air Day 08 - Jet Displays (P1)
Posted: Sun Jul 06, 2008 6:51 pmJust a selection of the jet displays this year, was pleased to finally see an F-86 (smoke included) take to the skies! Was also nice to see a Vampire and Venom, and see the Sea Vixen again.
The show opener; the very loud RAF Typhoon. As always, a fine peroformance.
I wonder if you could roast a marshmallow on those

The Hawker Hunter, nice to see it perform a display (living near Exeter, EGTE, you see quite a few flying about anyway thanks to the Hunter Flying Club there
)
Just bleeding of the final speed as she glides over the threshold...
We had a nice view from the end of the other RWY at Yeovilton, especially of the VAAC Harrier which took off using this RWY.
Next up, P2 of the Jet Displays
