Boscombe Down - Jet Trainers....
My favourite new location....the variety is astonishing.....today I had hawks, alphajets, tucanos, a BAC 1-11, a Harrier, an A109, an islander, tutors and even a hunter......that's not mentioning stuff on the ground including a Nimrod MRA4, a few apaches, a couple of GR4s and a few more hawks. All shots of aircraft on approach as that's all that's allowed
Starting off with the hawks and alphajets
Lovely raspberry ripple hawk....it was doing circuits as I arrived bu then left, coming back later with the bloomin harrier....

Pair of hawks depart, with two chinooks in the distance, presumably something going on on Salisbury plain today (saw a herc and two lynxes from the train)
And returning for a break across the field
Before landing....makes a change seeing Qinetiq across military aircraft rather than squadron markings
And the gorgeous alpha jets.....there were a couple of them in the circuit making some....er...unorthadox approaches....in fact one's fullstop landing involved a final aprroach on the other side of me than that which is in these pictures before banking at around 70 degrees and hitting the runway pretty hard
.....but hey it was quite windy so I'll let them off
