Good choice! I've played with my brother in law's D60 and I liked what I saw. Plus, you have the 2 VR-lenses and they get very good reviews. I don't think a d40 would have been better. I've read Ken Rockwells article about it and he mainly has a problem with the fact that the D60 is less light sensitive (base: iso 100) than the d40 (base: iso 200). So? You just set the d60 to iso 200 and your problem is solved. These days, dSLR's are capable of working at high Iso's without to much noise. And even then, it's removable, using the right tools.
Just learn about shuttertimes and how they affect possible blur in your shots. And if you constantly need long exposure times with your lenses, your going to buy fast lenses ( f2.

anyway.
Don't worry to much about it, just enjoy your brilliant new toy. ;)
[quote]I was going to buy a D40, however I found the Canon much easier to use, as if someone put thought into how people were going to use it.
