PHL Catch of the Day!!

Postby Willit Run » Thu Jun 12, 2008 4:47 pm

I knew she was down they since Sunday evening but, I didn't have a chance to get down to PHL.  I also knew she was going to depart at 10:30 a.m. today and I was not going to miss it.  Told the guys at work that I was stepping out for about an hour and away I went.  She didn't take off until around 11:00 but, hey I got a little spotting in!!

The Carolinas Historic Aviation Museum's DC-3.

What a sweet aircraft!!

Enjoy!! :)

Very nice Cory, I didn't get to see it fly when it was here.

Nice, Cory. I saw that on Flightaware and had to do a double take!

Thank you Gents!!

She has been down there since Sunday and they were keeping her in the U.S. Airways Maintenance hanger.
She was suppose to leave at ten but, she did not show up on Flightaware until after 8 a.m.. I was afraid I missed it some how but, then it showed that she was leaving at 10:30. I left work about 9:50 to go down. The Traffics Gods were killing me but I made it with about ten minutes to spare. Well make that 40 minutes to spare because she didn't take off until 11:00.
