APU change 737-800

Postby expat » Wed Jun 11, 2008 7:28 am

Time for another maintenance "show and tell" from your resident spanner monkey. If you ever wondered how to change an APU, well it involves a small amount of blood lost, a few pints of sweat and about 3 hours. Still, it was better than being out on the ramp last night. It was rather cold and very windy.

1. Captain, if the problem is not entered into the technical logbook.........then the aircraft does not have a problem.
2. And, if you have time to write the fault on a napkin and attach to it to the yoke.........you have time to write it in the tech log....see point 1.

Nice one Matt. Your peeks behind the scenes are always interesting. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

I like these shots, but they always give me that "what if they miss a tiny little part"-feeling... it all looks so fragile...

Don't worry, we have an old box on the office table that we put left over parts in. If one of us then has a moment of clarity, then we can rummage about. Also works in reverse if we lose a bit....................... ;D ;D

True, but one of those APU's could buy you a fleet of hotrods  8-)
