Well, the Bird no longer gives rides at GAMM, but they have recently resurrected a nice WACO 10 (which has a different engine, and is thus technically something else... which I forget, LOL).
This was its first day giving rides at the museum.
I thought of asking if they'd give me some stick time, but things were moving pretty quickly, with people waiting behind me... so I had to settle for having a merely wonderful time, instead of an incredibly orgasmic thrill of a lifetime. Oh, well...I already have some UPF-7 time; yawn... ;D

Looks and sounds marvelous in the air...

And away we go. Here we see "barnstormer food": oil mixed with smashed bugs. Full of protein, and it keeps you regular... :D

Okay... some explanation is required here: I was shooting with the camera up over my head and pointed back; no way of knowing what I was getting. The pilot told me after the ride that he liked to duck out of sight sometimes "mostly as a joke" (but probably also in case a camera comes flying at his face!)... as it turned out, I got a pretty funny sequence...

"Where'd he go?!"

"Uh.... now what do I do?"

I guess I was just absorbed in concentration here, didn't even know i was in the shot, but I look worried... LOL!!!

It was an excellent ride, with some very steep wingovers, a negative-gee pushover, and a superb landing in gusting wind.

That's it from the GAAM for now; NE US members may want o visit them sometime...

Wonderful. Rather like a mixture of Old Warden & Popham. If I ever visit the US again this place will definitely be on my list. [smiley=thumbsup.gif]

Great stuff thanks for sharing the pics.  I will be taking the T-67 up at the end of the month that's my type of thing I'll get some pics from that.  Beautiful shots there looks like a great time. :)

Great shots, Sean!!

Sure, but it all depends on the work schedule.
Ask me the day before... ;D
