GAAM Barnstormer Day '08- part 7: Winstead Special
This one-of -a-kind 1926 aircraft has a fascinating history... and it's just beautiful. The hammered aluminum cowling alone is a work of art... a Curtiss OX-5 never had a more beautiful setting. 
And it runs!! Oh yes... all eyes were on this baby when they propped it for its display...
Another slightly underexposed shot, but I think it captures the moment... below the rumble and tick of the OX-5, you can hear the taiskid ripping through the grass...
Only one good still photo of this masterpiece in flight, but I shot quite a bit of video. I'll have that edited and posted just as soon as I finish last year's stuff- LOL!
