First time in the fronstage of a major event... things are getting interesting. A local promsconcert proved more difficult than expected. Only after 2 thirds of the show I finally got the hang of things...

Very good, i love how the lightning came out!

I wanted to photograph a local blues band here yesterday, but because there really good the bar they were playing in was completely filled up, people even were waiting outside! Shame though, since i was really looking forward to giving it a go.

These look great Kris.

I assume that they were all taken with the Sigma 24-70, can you let us know what the EXIF data was for these shots?

Steve

It's a bit difficult... I started at aperature-setting but switched to manual in the end. Better result, better control over the lighter surfaces, etc. I try to keep the shuttertime aroun 1/125 and adjust the aperature accordingly... But it took me three quarters of the show to figure that out! Iso 800, shuttertime 1/100 - 1/125, aperature 2.8 to 4.5, depending on the lighting.

I didn't get paid for this job. I was there for a website that reports on showbizz. It's voluntairy work, it's not a commercial website. But they do get you inside gigs and make sure you can go in the frontstage.
