I have seen him confined within enclosures but, never soaring free like he should be until today!!

Theres what looks like some kind of an eagle nesting not to far from my house, it makes me really want that 70-300 IS.

I would trade a weeks worth of spotting pictures for that. Your are very lucky, as you say, most people only ever see then behind cages.

Beautiful bird. 8-) The only time I've seen one was in the Upper Peninsula in Michigan. Great catch! ; 8-)

I worked in Essington about 7 years ago , down the street from KPHL, and I saw this guy soaring around

Everybody at work thought I was full of it and now I have my confirmation

Im assuming its the same eagle by the way
