I took this.  Might as well do B/W, its what I'll be using in class for the next semester

If you have any filter options on your camera, try to use the yellow and see how it changes your contrast values ......in film work, back last Century I used to use one all the time when the light levels would comply with the shots I was trying to get............

Perhaps you could try to make the tip of the pen more in focus, as is seems the focus is a bit further to the back at the moment.

And here I thought it should have been shot at F 16 or less and a desktop brace of some sort (tri-pod) ........too little depth of field of focus for my liking.........to each his own......... 8-)

I really should get one of those.  Of course, I'm not sure I would bring it with me to work .  Basically the shots I took at work were aimed at exposures (I now know why I can't move the exposure bar in manual mode ).  I'll be playing around more  and posting them here soon.

Well, I think Ruptured Duck did a great job on presenting a mundain object in a slightly more arty way. If the whole pen would have been in focus, it would have been a very average photo imho.  ;)
