Ta Paul, I think the knobs are still on the machinehead, but they are turned.  Mr. Clapton donated the guitar in a state after it had been tuned, and possibly played!

It's the two "Tone" knobs that are missing on the finger board.
The existing knob is the "Volume" knob... ...!

...also the button on the multi-way switch on the finger board is missing...
...thieving so-and-so's...LOL...!

I'm just peeking at my Fender Start' now...

After 10+ years of sim flying around California, daily, I'm sure I have more intricate knowledge of the State that most of the Folks who actually live there...LOL...:)...!
