Browns is a nice place to while away an afternoon, just watching.  The water takeoffs and landings, plus the land planes from the adjacent airport make for some great scenery.  Every time I go there, the people greet me in a friendly manner, welcome me to sit on the benches and porch swing out back and there is almost always several pilots relaxing and talking about various airports and such...

I can't think of a much calmer place, which is surprising considering it's an airport.  :)

Today, some guy bought his seven year old a flight in one of the resident Cubs.  I would think a kid that young would freak without his parents, but he seemed ok with it...

These are with my phone, so they aren't too great...

Grass, water, dirt... is there anything the Cub can't do?  :)

Next time I'm down in Fa-la-land, I'm probably going to see about getting my water endorsement at Brown's.

Front seat solo?  Does that have something to do with the CG?
