Santa must have thrown his back out schlepping that down your chimney... start doing sit-ups and arm curls in preparation for Airventure! ;D

It's a rocket launcher? No wait, it's a small sewage pipe.

Just kidding, great looking camera. Enjoy it.

Please, by all means- feel free to do the driving. That way I'll be able to enjoy my drinking more... ;D

Not sure if I'm going this year, but it sure would be nice to either fly in or get a bunch of friends together on a RV rental...

That's 1,4 kilos! I think you'll praise yourself for buying a monopod.

I never saw someone shooting with this lens ( the white colour is quit obvious), but it has to be a dream! I'm looking forward to your work!

It's not particularly heavy if you ask me. The only issue I found when I used it was the push/pull zoom, that didn't agree with me. Try and limit how often you use it at the top-end too, the quality isn't quite as good at 350 and up.
It's a nice lens, but don't get lazy as a result. Having a good lens on a good body is irrelevant if you don't put any thought into what you're doing and just relying on the equipment, I see people doing this all the time and their shots never live up to the kit they're using. The best equipment in the world won't get you good shots if you don't use it properly. Enjoy! :)
