Gliding Today
Had a great days gliding today after spending 5 hours down at the winch! ::)... Its been really busy... Well... I say busy... We've just had a most of our resident civilian aircraft flying about and crowding up the area... The DR400 Robin was coming and going constantly... We had the Chippie shoot off to Cranwell and then come back in the afternoon and do some touch and goes.... The Pitts Special came out and was doing insane aerobatics for most of the day... and then in the late afternoon competition arrived for the Pitts pilot when the other Pitts rolled out of the hanger, and a 'how low can you go' competition ensued... :P

By the end of the day I was lucky enough to get a couple of flights. I didn't get to to take the controls on these, and I didn't really want to, as one of the senior instructors wanted to take me up and do aerobatics with him! :o
... (Nowhere near as extreme as the Pitts but still a lot of fun! :P) He told me to sit in the back so I could get a taste of what it will be like to be a G1 Instructor in the near future... Quite a different ride I can tell you!
I tried to gets some pictures during the maneuvers but they didn't come out too well! :-/
Anyway here are some I got... :) Plus some bonus video footage!

Approach and Landing video performed by Jon.... with me videoing from the rear, wishing I could fly as good as him!
Thanks for looking.
Luke. :)
