Following on from part 1 (http://www.simviation.com/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1198876927)

Breighton Airfield - 3rd June 2007 - June Fly-In
Another lovely event at Breighton, nothing much to describe but it was nice to see some good warbirds.

Kemble Airfield - 17th June 2007 - Air Day
The first time we'd made the long drive here after a dissapoining visit in 2004, but it was certainly worth it. Turned out to be the first of only two times I'd see the Role Demo in 2007 and this was at it's best too. Great to see some classic jets you just don't get elsewhere, a great show all in all.

RAF Waddington - 30th June 2007 - Waddington Airshow
If an airshow can be cursed then Waddingtons annual show certainly had one placed on it this year. The shock conditions making for real difficulties on the Sunday resulting in the cancellation of the show and the horrible rain on the show day. Still, it was still great to get a chance to see the Flankers in the ai and all the pilots who flew deserved a real pat on the back.

RAF Fairford - 14th - 15th July 2007 - RIAT
No need for a summary here!

Part 3 will follow, probably tomorrow though. ;)

I think you make lots of people anxious about the new airshow-season.

The Flanker, 'smokey' Typhoon and F-18 are just stunning!

Hey Steven, as there is no exif-info embedded in the shots, could you please tell me at what focal lenght you usually shoot at these events? Especially the air-shots.

I know they probably differ from event to event, but still, I'm curious...

I use a 400 prime, so they're all (as in every shot of mine from 2007) at 400. ;) Except the Mustang obviously, that was taken at roughly 35mm. Anything other than static shots of mine in 2007 are 400.

OK, thanks. I know these lenses produce the finest quality, but doesn't the fixed focal length make you less flexible? If a plane comes in the close, it might fill the entire shot, without any possibility to alter that. Or is it just a case of getting used to and adapting?
