R.I.P. Bader Field

I was down in Atlantic City this Sunday and past a lost relic, Bader Field. It's a shame they closed her down.

I hate it when aviation related things are just shut down...Greatest example was Meigs...Way to go Daley

Yeah, those fields carry a story with them, shame too see them go!

Unfortunately, I think most remember Bader Field more for a Citation landing and subsequent, I used the term loosely, taxi :-?

Great post, Corey- but it makes me sad.
Never did land there, although I did fly into the "big" airport once... :'(

With the history behind that field Im surprised they didn't make it a national historic area. Of course it is in Atlantic City which means they will sub-divide it and open strip malls and casinos.

Personally, I would think that would be a nice area to open a historic flight museum
