Not a bad choice the Mk XVI, especially as being in the States it ran the US made Packard Merlin 266. Welcome to civilisation Andrew ;)

I loved it. I did attempt to take a few photos of the Spitfire MK IX at the Seattle Museum of Flight, but the lighting was horrible, and the photos aren't great :'(

Wow...now are all these airworthy Andrew?

I am wondering if there are any Northrop P61s around in museums, certainly would be interesting to see one as they were a very classified aircraft at the time.

The museum only had a couple aircraft that are kept airworthy. The Ford Trimotor was one, but I can't remember any of the others.
