One from this morning

... and there will be more to come hopefully.  This image isn't great as I used IfranView on my work computer.  For some reason all of my photos I took of this A-26 were tilted to the right.  I guess I'll have to work on that. Today we're hosting an airshow.  The weather's below VFR right now but hopefully more will show up.  We were also going to have an F-15 demo, but all the non-essential F-15s are grounded right now due to several structural failures over the past couple of months or so.  Hopefully they'll replace it with something cool.  Warbirds are great but I wouldn't mind some variety.

So much for my study break ...back to the books.

So I take it we can expect alot more shoots tonight. looking at that shot, my opinion is that you leveled the plane instead of the horizon. Hows that for an excuse!!!!!!!! ;D   Waiting for more shot, Mark

I took a look at why your image was off from horizontal and found it cocked over by a tad over 3 degrees......when I reduced it back to zero, the plane looked too nose high......I found on this particular image, bringing it back by 2.5 degrees makes it look acceptable...........

Thanks for leveling that out for me.  This particular airplane does sit a little nose high, plus the tarmac is not level at all.  I had borrowed my dad's Canon D60 and I was more or less messing around with it this morning.

Yeah, they just wrapped up the pre-airshow show for the school kids.  They only had a Pitts Special and a clipped wing cub perform.  I'll post photos later once I get them all on my comp at home.  They also have the A-26 and a C-47 on static.  I don't think anything else is flying in until this afternoon though.  They were planning on having an F-15, but those have all been grounded.  The airport manager told me that they're bringing in an F-16 in it's place, but will only do a few low passes.  The show starts tomorrow morning and the performances start at noon.  I seriously doubt that this will be as big of a deal as it was last year, but then again you never know.  I don't know if you're in any of his classes or not, but Dave is giving extra credit for his students that go to the WINGS safety seminar that takes place tomorrow as well.

Thanks!I just got back from the show this afternoon and will have tons of photos to share.  The hard part is going to be going through all of them.  I took nearly 200 photos.
