I've noticed there's a door on the side of the skyraider....any info on this?

Nice shots Mic. Some versions of the Skyraider could carry up to 12 passengers.

wow....I had no idea...I thought they were single seat attack aircraft  ::) ::)

Indeed. G-RADR is an AD-4NA (aka A-1D). According to this it normally carried a crew of 3. http://www.personal.psu.edu/users/d/o/dob104/aviation/us/nattack.html

Beautiful shots Mic, Thanks for posting them.  I don't know if anyone is interested, but I read a book about how the A-1 Skyraider was used in Vietnam, it is called Cheating Death, By George Marrett. Very interesting storys about some crazy pilots. I've been a A-1 fan ever since. Mark

Thanks for the info about the Skyraider Doug, I never knew that. I wonder what the other guys did other than put their hands over their ears and close their eyes  ;D
