Oh yes... there's more... ;D

I'm a bit embarassed about this first one: not sure which plane it is. but that is one lovely "office", innit?

It might be this gorgeous Stinson...

Just one of the stylin' Beech twins that was there this year:

A lone Swallow, and a really nice one.

This ship won my personal Most Peculiar award: it is a 1950 Emigh Trojan A2... but of ourse you all knew that. The ribbed wings have something to do with getting more strength without so much internal structure...looks weird to me, and that tail-or lack of it- scares the hell out of me. but it has an excellent VFR panel and the owner flew it from Virginia, so it can't be too bad. ;D

A kickass Waco UPF-7- a 1941 Waco, not the new kind...

So many 'coupes this year... oh, I really would like one of these... especially in raw metal, like "Scampy" here. Gorgeous!!

A look at "Scampy's" panel... yes, Scampy, we are lucky. ;D

Dear Mr. Sean M. AKA Rottydaddy,

I must respectfully ask you to stop post pics of AirVenture, as I terribly miss those days of walking between seeming unending rows of every type of flying contraption ever conceived.  I sit at my desk, doing awful amounts of mind-numbing homework, only to be reminded of a happier time in my life, and I don't think I will be able stand much more when I have to wait until next year to see it again.

Thanks for your concern,

Mr. Mike I.  AKA Mobius

;D

Awww, what the hell, post 'em all, how can I pass up seeing all these great pics? :D

Sorry, I'm awfully bored tonight, if you couldn't see that already. ;D

I'm sorry, but once the sickness takes root, there is no more self-control. Even flying a 60-year-old airplane hasn't helped... only made it much, much worse. I've started listening to people who advise me to buy a c-120 and do my IR training in it... I'm afraid it's too late for me.

Look away, while you can... don't end up like me!!
