Depends on what you want....
I bought a S5700 (7.0MP, 10x Optical, 2.5" LCD ) recently and I'm very satisfied with that camera.

HERE

Cost 199, but if you need some batteries and a bag you are in the range you wanted, don't forget to buy a fast storage card. AND that camera can take SD and xD picture cards!

But I think if you do a search you might find her even cheaper.

Cheers,
Fabian

Hey I just bought one of these Fuji s  S700's and I'm  loving it.  For the price you can't beat it.  You have to buy an SD Card you can pick up a 1 gig for 12.00 and I bought a sony NIMH 15 minute quick charger with 8 2500mAh batteries.

If you want a professional digital camera that is great for aviation, get a Canon Powershot S3 IS. I bought mine about 9 months back and am nothing but satisfied. Its a little over your price range though: USD $350.

Hope that Helps
Joe

This kind of odd because my old camera is a Fujifilm FinePix 2650 with an impressive 1.5 megapixels, and 3x optical zoom ;D
