Silent killer
Posted: Mon Sep 03, 2007 5:37 pmThis may not be what you were imagining, but here are some shots from Paradise Park in Hayle in Cornwall. It is a bird park which interestingly was founded by the man who gave us The Milkybar Kid
In flight, their magnificent Eagle Owl, silent and swift
Completely unruffled by the large crowd, and a great performer in this open flying display, the handler was superb
Right between the lines of the crowd, it could pass within inches of you and you wouldn't know thanks to the near silent flight
Just a shot for scale, we may not feature in the Eagle Owl food chain, but it's still a bird you wouldn't want to upset too much, look at the size of those claws
