Excellent... thanks!
Y'know, I woke up at around 11:30 this morning (working the night shift tonight) and suddenly remembered about the show! Almost decided to go anyway, but I know over half the attendees wait until just before the main act to start, so I bailed. Wouldn't have got going until after 12, figure 2 hours to the expressway, then... didn't want to be sitting in traffic after rushing down there, only to catch maybe 1 1/2 hours of the show. Oh well...

It would be neat if they did an evening show. That way the light is better, and it would look a lot cooler.

Ahhhhhh, Princess Elizabeth... I somehow wish The Fighter Collection had kept her in the UK, instead of selling her back into the states, and bringing Miss Velma over instead. Merlin high-backed Mustangs do look good.

Nice shots.

I'm sorry but, I'm glad Jim Beasely purchased " Princess Elizabeth " because he lives in the Philadelphia area and he keep his collection at a local airport not to far from me. I will be making a trip to that airport once the airshow season slows down to get some upclose shots of her and the other Mustang he has.

He owns three Stangs but, one is being refurbished from the ground up.
So I'm sorry for your lose but, Happy for our gain!!
So you should be!

It was a shame, during her stay on the UK she spent a lot of time on the ground due to technical issues from her first rebuild in the States IIRC (during her conversion into a C model). The fuselage ended up going back to Chino to be re-rebuilt...

When Jim brought her she was shipped to Chino and reassembled and tweeked. Then one of the pilots from Chino flew her to Las Vegas and Jim picked her up and flew her to Chester, Pennsylvania. She has been getting alot of flight time since he got her. :)

I hoped to catch my first P-51 in action today, but the gods decided otherwise... he didn't show up. I'm hoping he'll make it for the static show of wings and wheels tomorrow...
