In keeping with the do-it-yourself theme of AirVenture, here's a few kits and plans-built birds:
A Meyers Little Toot, done up like the original... people have been building and flying these for 50 years.
A Wittman Tailwind... we'll be looking at Steve Wittman's earlier designs later... he's the patron saint of the EAA, and this airport was named after him.
A Scheider SX300... looks fast, don't it?
Speaking of fast, here's a BD-5 with a jet engine. Very, um, unusual presentation...
The Seawind- a future classic, I think.
Didn't see this monowheel Europa on the display line, but I watched it depart. I like these things...
This Rutan Quickie has been flying for almost 20 years.
This gorgeous Falco is ready for anything...
