Uh-oh... another vidiot
Yes, I've gone and joined the ranks, shuffling along with one of those things stuck to my face while "At Home He's a Tourist" plays softly in the background...yes, I've bought a camcorder.
It takes fairly good stills, too... not bad with today's murky air and bad light (plus me not quite knowing how to use the camera properly).
Peekaboo... first sighting of a Qatar Airbus here.
How sad for this old Hammond, but how nice for me: got three good 5-pos rotary switches off it for the simpit project.
Whew... I was starting to think the morning glories would not be back this year. Shoulda known better...

My new baby: Panasonic GS85; OIS, stills and vid to SD card or miniDV; 35X optical zoom; manual focus; 16:9 or 4:3 format... bought it in a hurry (Oshkosh looming!) but I got a pretty good deal: camera, two L-ion batteries, charger, UV filter, 2-year warranty, and five tapes for just shy of $400 (at B&H).
There will no doubt be some clips hitting YouTube just after I get back from Airventure... stay tuned.
