Camera lens

Postby BAW0343 » Tue Jul 17, 2007 4:18 pm

Well with my new camera (Canon Rebel XTi) soon to be purchased (within the next 2 weeks) I'm looking for a lens suitable for aviation photography.  I am hoping to get some suggestions on lenses from you guys and have seen a few I like but were around 1000. I am hoping for something a little cheaper at the moment but still around 300-400mm.  If you have any good used sites or some good new lenses to suggest I'd love to hear about it. Also if any of you have old lenses you don't use anymore perhaps we could work out a deal?

Looking forward to the suggestions that you guys may bring up.  ;D ;)

ok cool!  Yea I'm used to my 5mp so cropping was out of the question, and have forgotten thats an option now lol.  Also seeing some of your photos I'm sure the 300mm should be just fine. And its well within my budget  ;D :D

My only advise with that lens would be take lots of photos.....I find that as an aircraft flies past I need at least 5 images to get one that is perfect.....it goes soft very easily.....lol
