RNAS Yeovilton Air Day 2007 - Display Teams (P1)

In this set are the Patrouille Suisse, the Black Seahawks (and two Dassault Falcon 200's) and the BBMF.

Here's the Black Seahawks and the two Dassault Falcon 200's. An interesting display from this team!

Image
And here are the Patrouille Suisse, a very good display from these guys!

Image
Here's a shot of the BBMF as they arrived - wonderful sound, 6 RR merlins 8-). No shots of the Hurricane's solo I'm afraid - my camera batteries died just as the Spit finished, and all of the batteries we had didn't work. Then I put some batteries in the camera which had stopped working before, and for some reason the camera started working again. Strange!

Another picture of the three iconic aircraft.

One for Ozzy - the BBMF's Spit Mk IX in a pass showing its elliptical wings.

Image
The "Phantom of the Ruhr" makes a pass with the bomb bay open.

In P2 - The Red Arrows minus one...

Love the black seahawks (culdrose) and fra falcons (durham) they often practice low over my house. Nice shots, enjoyed the set!  :)

The PS is an excellent display team.

And the choice of paint scheme and aircraft is even better. The F-5s fit the display team role just perfectly.

Err that wasn't the Mk IX ;)
As for the Swiss? Disappointing that they did most of their display a good 3-5 Kms away from the runway so you couldn't see anything ::)

There are two types of aeroplane, Spitfires and everything else that wishes it was a Spitfire!
