Latest projects....

As some of you may know I'm done with college, and with that comes some free time after work these days in which I can do stuff I enjoy doing, one of the things I truly enjoy doing is completing some nice model aircraft (all 1/48 scale mind you).

My B-29 Fuselage half just installed the bombs on that half, getting ready to do the other half in a little bit

My latest acquisition, any guesses as to what it may be?

An older addition to the hangar, but just got some more spray paint to do either it or the F-4 blue angel I have sitting in my closet along with 6 Blue angel F-18's in various states of build

I didn't show the Dc-3 which is awaiting decals early next week, nor does it show the FW-190 I just finished not long ago or the Stearman sitting on my shelf. rest assured more pictures will follow upon completion!

very cool.  nicely done on the B-29.  The P-40(?) looks promising as well.

at first I thought it might be a corsair, but then I saw the slot for the exhaust manifold and remembered that F-4s and p-47s were radial engines.  Process of elimination.   ;)

good process of elimination, the P-40 is showing lots of potential, in that it has adjustable flaps so I'm going to leave them down while on the ground and I have it pretty much built with the exception of gluing the gear and gear door on and then painting the whole exterior :)

didn't think it would be done any time soon, meanwhile I have half the bombs in the B-29...... :-/

Very cool.  I'd like to see photos of the finished product.  Perhaps I'll get around to posting some pics of my Guillows balsa F-4 Corsair that I haven't been working on since Christmas 2002.  I mostly have the fuselage put together, the balsa anyway, and have started on the wing spars.  Right now it's at the top of my closet collecting dust.

Jared, make the most of your free time, because it does not last long and then your models just get stacked waiting for you to retire ;D or you get to nibble at them. The "Bluenose" has been in build for about 5 years and the Mercedes about 3 years.

I've already got to the stage of having models piled up waiting to be done, and I'm 14. By the time I retire, I'll be swimming in Airfix parts ;D
