Very cool!  [smiley=thumbsup.gif] #5 is my favorite.  What happened there on the #6 photo?  looks like he had some braking trouble or is he just making a wide turn off the runway? Centerline is <---- that way.

No grand prize... only first generation MKIs in these shot (non TVC exhaust pipes)
Did they bring one with 'double cone' exhausts too?

The Flanker looks awfully threatening from upfront...like a hawk or so.

...but it has an awesomely coloured afterburner.

He moved off the centreline so he could blast his drag chutes off so they wouldn't end up on the runway, aircraft have enough FOD worries without creating their own.



Makes sense.

Interesting to hear that they're not allowed to use their radars to full capacity in the UK - apparently the Russians and Israelis dictated so... :-?
