Hard Rock Biloxi: the calm before the storm

Friday was a busy day for everybody, rushing to finish up before the unwashed masses started pouring in Saturday morning. Took a few snaps while making my rounds...

This is fun: an Orange County custom chopper for the casino, based on a music theme. How many musical instrument details can you spot, boys and girls? Peavey, BTW is a mfr of sound gear and guitars, based in Meridian, MS... they donated most of the speakers for our install (It's a Mississippi thing, y'all).

A view of the main concourse, showing some of the many memorabilia cases. sorry 'bout the focus... ::)

One of our four large double-sided projection screens. There are Paltronics servers constantly playing promo-only rock videos.

The center bar on the casino floor, with six 42" plasmas (you can see three of them there under wraps while the painters finish their business), and four translucent screens. Projectors are Panasonic- forget the model #, but they're about $4K apiece. All the video comes down from the head end over optical fiber.

Looks like that projector is a bit off-center... I think somebody fixed it, but I was too busy drinking yesterday to notice. :D

In addition to ceiling speakers all over the casino floor, there are those big cabinets hanging above the bar... no escaping the music.

looks like a good install :)

I remember seeing bits and pieces of the episodes where they built the Peavey bike :)
