More Time Building...

I took another cross-country flight last Friday to continue building time for my instrument rating, so I took some pictures along the way.  I took off from Middleton in the evening, and flew up to Adams County Airport (63C).

Looking west toward Devil's Lake State Park, and some rain showers that had been lingering there all day...

Straight north at 4,500 ft, the edge of the clouds were to the north east, and it was perfectly clear past there...

I love this panel, especially the 530 (no WAAS yet though :'( ;)), nice 20kt tailwind helped on the way up, not so much on the way back...

A few more off to the west as I made my way north... 8-)

Looking good! It makes me want to get a charter for an hour or so.

Did ya ponder going out to the edge and then climbing on top ?

That looks like GREAT flying weather !

I was using the handy "direct" button on the 530 to see how long it would take me to fly out there, but the bases were reported at 11,000 ft, so I probably wouldn't have got up there, and I had already spent an hour messing around in the pattern, so I was getting short on time.  Maybe next time. 8-) ;)
