Ashover Rock.

Situated just north of the village of Ashover, Ashover Rock is a local landmark. The rock is on top of a ridge known as The Fabrick and during WW2 it was used as an observation post for spotting bombers heading for Sheffield .... buried to one side is the bunker used by the observers. The trig point from where I took the shot records the height above sea level as 990ft and on a clear day 7 counties can be seen.

Very nice. B&W really is perfect for rock formations... great texture and shadow.
