RAF Cosford Air Show 10/6/07 - Part 2

Postby 61_OTU » Mon Jun 11, 2007 4:01 pm

Unfortunately I completely failed to get any decent shots of Peter Teichmann's excellent if restricted display in his resplendent P51 Jumpin Jacques. At Old Warden last year it had been the same P51 that had broken the thunderclouds and brought out dazzling sunshine, this time around however it was just haze and cloud. I managed to get a single landing shot, which was nothing special, but I include simply for my stong affection for this genuine warbird, battle damage and all. One day I'd like nice close up shot of the patches

Very nice photos. From what I can see it was an almost identical show to the one at Biggin Hill last week. I'm afraid that these air displays are all getting pretty much the same now. Seen one, you've seen 'em all.

The awesome Sea Fury, a real shame there aren't a few more of these around

Did you notice the new paint job? There are at least two more to my knowledge. Unless I dreamt it the RNHF will soon have two to choose from. Some kind soul donated one.

The one donated is a T20 a two seater... So they finally have something to train their pilots in!

Awesome photo's especially considering the weather... I hope I can get down to Volkel Friday!

Thanks Doug, yes I thought the old colour scheme was nice, but this one is fantastic....I just wish there was a bit more light on it. The sun came out not a minute later when the Skyraider started displaying.....some shine on the Fury would have been wonderful....oh well  8-)
