Chatsworth House

Postby Iwannabeapilot » Mon Jun 04, 2007 11:47 am

My first thread in the photo forum  :D

Here's a few I took on a visit to the gardens at Chatsworth House on Sunday:

Image
Chatsworth House is the home to the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and is situated in the middle of the Derbyshire Dales...

Image
The estate covers approximately 1,000 acres which is all open to the public...

I did take some of the fountain when it was in full flow, but they didn't come out very well. There was also an Agusta 109 from Harrods parked up on the grass next to one of the car parks (perhaps Mohammed Al-Fayed was visiting?) , but I didn't manage to catch it.  :'(

I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed taking them, there are more and I would be pleased to post them if you like. Comments are welcomed as always, thanks for taking a look.  :)

Lovely. ;)

Thanks for the peek. Looks nice. I've never been there. Didn't even know where it is until I looked it up.

It's a great day out, although you would probably need two days to go around the house and the gardens.

Just up the road from me .......... lovely place ..... did you see the fountain which, although now restricted to 100ft, used to go up to 300ft ...... and all gravity fed.
