The condo I'm staying in here in Biloxi, MS is in the middle of a golf resort... or what used to be a golf resort, before Katrina lashed it with wind and rain and threw a 20-foot storm surge at it about 2 years ago. The condos have been rebuilt, as well as some fancier houses in the area, but I hear the golf course itself is a lost cause, due to salt water intrusion into the topsoil (or something).

I took a little walk through there today, along the paved pathways. Rather bizarre, but actually a nice quiet place. Be sure to see part 2, which features some of the local critters who have reclaimed the place.

It's amazing the destruction Katrina did that you can still see signs of her.  Thank you for the walk.

Oh, and your missing a tropical depression going through our area now.  Lots and lots of rain, wind and a T-Storm is headed our way now!!

The ceiling fan and switch box really make the point that everything in the area was moved to a new location.......what a cryin shame........  :'(

Yeah, that device box was tangled in a tree, about 30 feet up.
