We meet again!

Was down at Lyneham today and guess who turned up......

Yep that sickly green Piper from Hullavington...apparently it's based at Lyneham

Also performing some flybys was this stunning Super King Air, who I discovered was testing the ILS system

Finally on a sad note....this Westland Wessex is sadly dumped at the extremity of the field.

Nice  :) For saying that it's been dumped, that Wessex looks in surprisingly good condition!

That Super King Air is indeed stunning..
But it does look like an airborne ruler (no pun intended).

I've seen that King air before! It was used to fine-tune Ostend's ILS too... I remember the special livery... looks good!

Nice  :) For saying that it's been dumped, that Wessex looks in surprisingly good condition!

The facts that the rotors are properly secured and the intake and exhaust sealed off indicate that it is still potentially airworthy, I think.

I bet youll be seeing that Piper a lot.  Very cool King Air.   I like hte paint job.

Yeah but just take a look at the tail rotor!  :o
