All depends on the weather. If I go it will probably be on Sunday.

I enjoyed it last year. It's a very popular event with crowds of people all along the seafront. Unless you know Southend well I think it might be difficult to arrange a meeting.

PS. Here's the flying programme. http://www.southendairshow.com/index.asp?c=1844

I live a good half an hour away and have been there in the past.
I Was hoping for good weather Monday as i have other plans Sunday.

Here's the latest BBC 5-day forecast. http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/5day.shtml?id=3516
Don't take too much notice of it as it changes by the hour. The one for Worthing says heavy showers today & it's been brilliant sunshine all day. ::)

Not interested in jet airliners. If I want to see a 747 there's plenty at Gatwick or Heathrow. LOL :P

Are you going to the airport or the seafront?

The air display is on the seafront. You won't see much from the airport.

I might leave it till Biggin Hill next weekend. That should be better if the weather cooperates but you have to pay to get in. http://www.airdisplaysint.co.uk/

I'm looking froward to RIAT 07.

I might not able to go... my dads work have not decided if they will let him go as he is taking a large chunk of work for my amercian holiday!
I'm buying a tripod and new memory cars + 5 battery's for my camera for it!

P.S - South end anyone?

Southend Airport holds on open day which allows you to get up close to the participants as they arrive and depart.

Ah, so they do. I'd forgotten about that. http://www.southendairport.net/community.htm
To be honest I would rather enjoy the atmosphere along the seafront. The display line is too far away for decent photos unless you have a really long lens. Also the typical problem of the sun (if it shows its face) being in the wrong position. If I go I can sit back & watch the show for once.
