Settling in...

Some boring pictures; enjoy!  ;D

The rental car: a rather wimpy 2.7 V6-powered Charger. Looks cool, anyway...and it's a creampuff with less than 4000 miles on it. Best stock sound system I've heard so far in the last year of driving various new cars on these trips.

Pretty nice condo accommodations this time; beats a hotel, except we have to do our own housekeeping.

Image

The other tech who was staying here when I arrived was pulled off yesterday to go elsewhere for a few weeks, so I got to move into the master bedroom. Good thing I hadn't unpacked yet! ;D

Image

There's a private bathroom for the master bedroom- check it out: I can shave in one sink and brush my teeth in the other. Excellent. ;D There's even a Jacuzzi tub...I will make good use of that.

The other guy was not only nice enough to launder the bed linens, he even left some *cough* reading material. And a box of Kleenex! But no hand lotion. Oh well... guess I'll have to get my own.  ::)

Scintillating stuff, eh?  ;D Don't worry; I will have some more interesting glimpses from the Deep South soon enough.

LOL on the bathroom stuff... should be enough to keep your... ehrm... hands busy for a while...  ;D

That car look like a strange forgery of a BMW 7 series... but with that type of engine... whoa!  ;)

Nice place for temporary housing.

As for the CHarger, the 2.7 is completely inadequate.  Its a rental-fleet only.  If you ask me its a bad business decision, because an uneducated consumer would drive that thing and then never take a look at another Dodge.

2.7L is inadiquate for what?
Okay the car weighs 20 tons so fair enough, but with the US having such strict speed limits I fail to see what possible use it has for an engine any bigger? On a track my 1.8 beemer would run circles around that thing ;)

seriously though. great shots, its always nice to see how you live on the other side. Plus just gives a nice differant subject for a change.

You're not supposed to drag-race your way to work and back.

But merging onto the highway, some torque is appreciated.
