Our "shanty" at the HRC... where we keep all our junk and also where we take furtive cigarette breaks.   ;D

A view of the casino floor from the
VIP lounge:

The "live " or concert space: much of this stuff did not have to be redone, but the storm surge aupposedly was so high that it was lapping at the bottom of the balcony- in other words, this stage was under several feet of water.  :o
That's a very nice LA Acoustics line-array PA, BTW... sounds pretty good. How many watts RMS total? I don't know, but enough to damage your DNA, I think. ;D

Up in the balcony, a look at the "front of house" or main production position... lotsa newfangled gear that I know very little about.   :-?
I hate digital desks... they're for girly-men who can't do a proper mix. ;)

Just a little hallway between areas ( :D )- there are three of these huge screens w/projectors.

Nice view of the Gulf from here in the Cafe:

Speaking of which, I like this shot of the intrepid shrimper fleet behind the casino, taken shortly after we arrived in the morning. Quite a motley crew... I imagine they have not been priced out of the area (despite the high-class development) because they add a bit of color to the surroundings, adding some "cred" to the whole Hard Rock "roots" aesthetic.
Which is fine, considering how important this area is, traditionally, to the history of rock 'n' roll.

Man, I don't want to know what amount of dollars hangs in that place in the form of screens, soundsystems, speakers, mixers, etc...

It's almost over the top!  :)

Not sure, myself.... but it's a lot.
The company's looking at a huge profit on this one, due to using only its own techs... and the fact that other than the stage system, all of the speakers in the place were donated by the manufacturer.  :o
Then there's the fact that this is the second time they're installing the same systems... bring on the next hurricane!!  ;D
