Very interesting. Is this the ship? http://www.armed-guard.com/steelvoy.jpg

According to the records SS Steel Voyager was sunk on September 23, 1943 by torpedo from U-952 in the North Atlantic; 66 on board, no lives lost. http://www.isthmianlines.com/sa_steel_voyager.html
