Took a diddy trip down to Filton a few weeks ago to see her grace Alpha Foxtrot the youngest Concorde in the whole fleet.

She flew 18,257 hours
5,639 supersonic flights
6,045 landings
In May 1993, Concorde 216 was the first to be fitted with a refurbished interior and repainted in the final livery sported by all the British Airways fleet.

Enough talk for now, it's picture time!

That set of gear was never touched and has no scratches on it.

shame they had to ruin her by building a staircase out of concrete up the side....I went to visit her about 2 weeks after she opened to the public, before I had a digicam :D

I just need to see the one at Heathrow to log all the examples left in Britain :D

nice pics....dont you just hate the way they put perspex in front of the cockpit >:(

I was standing right beside the fence adjacent to 27R when she took off for Filton on her final flight.. It was a cold, gloomy, overcast day and when she took off a gap appeared in the clouds, the sunshine shone through and she headed straight for it.
You couldn't have made it up, it was a sight I'll never forget.  :(

There's a video of it on ConcordeSST somewhere.. it's ages since I posted there, I think it was by somebody called Thamesweb or something like that.

Bittersweet, for sure... strange how a mere machine can elicit so much emotion...  :'(

I'd only get emotional if I had ever flown on her, but seeing her this way...nyah.

The seats look like the ones in Air Berlin aircraft...

I must be noted that Air Berlin is a low-cost carrier. ;)
