Ok.. I didn't actually jump.. I was observing.. but you have to wear  a chute when you climb into a plane where the door will be opened.

No.. I didn't jump.. I didn't take the ground-school (no time), but was able to tag along and observe... you just can't fly in the plane without a chute.. even the pilot.

Extra lift..

Extra lift..  slightly larger useful load.. slightly higher rate of climb .. taking advantage of that extra 50hp..

Thats got to make you a little nervous, going up in a plane and you look over and the pilot has a parachute on.  ;D
