This C-17 Globemaster III is taking off from Runway 27 at Riverside Municiple (KRAL) for a demonstration at the Riverside Airshow 2007. The runway is only 5000' and this thing took off in less than 3000' and climbed out at a 35 degree angle. Because the runway is so small it stirred up alot of dust as you can tell. This plane is amazing, Enjoy.

They look the same, but the one you linked is missing a few details that the one in the original post has.

Very nice plane! Very dusty!  :o  ;D ;D ;D

C-17's are so awesome!  I can't wait for McChord to have their airshow next summer!  If you think seeing one is pretty sweet, an airfield assault with 4 of them is mind-blowing!  Three release paratroopers over the field while a fourth flys by dropping containers.  Unfortunately no show this summer. :(

Yeah, just amazing... Steep bank turns at a slow speed.... It did a fly-by at 80mph... I drive faster than that... ha ha ha

Wowzers... that's not a transportplane, it's a freaking fighterjet!  :o  ;D

I agree Doug, especially with all those DSLR photographers just changing lenses...  ;D

What is really amazing is when they do a short landing, At Oshkosh last year the did a demonstration, and it looked like that thing stopped in about a length of a football field.
