So me and my dad took off for a tour to the airport, riding along 9L and then back home...about 30 kms in total.
In between, I hoped to get some snaps of some arrivals and departures...so much for the plan.
The reality:
Hannover seems to be nearly dead on Sundays...only minimal aircraft movements in the afternoon and those buggars in the tower only had the (short) Runway 9R in use, so there was no chance of getting anything while riding along 9L.
Of the four(!) pictures I've taken the only barely usable ones where those two:
While crossing the approach path for 9R, this BA ERJ-135 zoomed past.
Should've stayed there...
Taken with 10x digital zoom through the fence across a distance of well over 1.5 kilometres.
For those who can't recognize it (99%...), it's a 737 still in HLX colors.
Lessons learned:
- Only visit the airport on weekdays.
- Get information about arrival times and runways in use prior to going.
