A bit late, but here's the first load of pics from my new year's trip to London.

Buckingham. Lizzie wasn't home, but the guards were. Poor guys, surveilled by billions of tourists 24/7.

The Ritz. Just a symbol for the ridiculously high prices (a pack of cigs...9

Piccadilly Circus. Crowded! They walled the fountain to save some drunks from drowning  in a disgusting mix of fluids (by then) on New Year's Eve.

Shame. A perfect chance for some natural selection... ;D

Gosh that all looks familiar! Mind you I used to work just off Trafalgar Square so I was right in amongst all those places ;D
The fencing off of the fountains is a good idea. I was hauled out of one quite a few New Years back and when the arresting officer asked me "What do you think you're doing?" I replied with infinite wit and intelligence "The backstroke" ;D Just as well to keep people like me out of mischief and in pubs ;)

I don't know. Must've been my huge "The Royal Family doesn't know how to party!" sign. :D
