Spotting at O'Hare

After arriving yesterday, I killed some time before picking up my co-worker at the airport by doing a little spotting in the shopping plaza nearby... A big coffee, coupla Krispey Kremes, a camera, and a big airport next door... that's my idea of a good time. ;D

Hey, kids: can you identify them all?

A nice surprise... one of my favorite light twins. :)

Zooming through a wide-angle lens produces some strange but not-always-unpleasant effects...

Sorry; I'll be busy all day and probably won't be at the airport for departure until nightfall. But we'll see... maybe I'll see something while on the bus from the car rental lot... ;D
I'm a little upset; last night it was looking like we'd have free time today, but now we have problems... it's cold and windy with some minor flurries, but it would have been a decent day for a quick flight in the area.
Maybe if I don't bring my flight bag next time, I'll be able to go flying... ::)

Beats the heck outta me... those things all look the same to me (except the Cessna; I knew that one). ;)

Nice, but a bit more to the left or right, revealing the plane's livery would make it even nicer... Go Boeing 737! Love the little suckers...  ;D

Half the fun for me is being right under them... good for the digestion, and I like to count rivets. ;D

Nice shots as well, I like the forth one, right before it goes behind the building...:)

Hang in there... your neck of the woods is real nice in spring and summer. Winter is just the price you have to pay.
Which reminds me... this year, I think I'll make it back to Oshkosh in July... ;D

Correct?

I think you're right about the airliners, but I know you're wrong about the little twin. It's a Cessna 310.
They are similar at first glance, but I've never seen tip tanks on a Seneca, whereas they're standard on the 310. And you can't see it here, but the engine nacelles on this plane extend  beyond the trailing edge of the wing, which is usually the giveaway, along with the taperd wing vs. the Piper "Hershey Bar" wing.
