Flyboy's summer trip to Nova Scotia, pt. 1

Postby flyboy 28 » Sat Jan 20, 2007 11:10 am

I cannot believe it's been more than a half a year since I went to Canada, and I still haven't posted pics. :-?

Anyway, better late than never. :)

We drove up to Camden, Maine the day before to spend the night with my grandma. The next morning, we set off north to Bangor, ME where "The CAT" is harbored.

Parked and settled, I walked up to where that staircase is in the previous pic. Those are jet engines. Pretty amazing. :o

Pulling out of the bay. Rooster tail-a-flying.

Almost like an airliner, really. They showed two movies on the way up. They also had a full bar and various food items for purchase.

Next-Are we there yet?

Interesting, how long was the ferry ride (long enough to show two movies I suppose :P ;))?

They've got one of those Cats running to and from the Channel Islands. Does the cross channel in about four hours. Apparently the tubes for the water jets are big enough for a diver to swim through.

That looked like a fun trip.  I've been on the Cape May - Lewes ferry many times but, theat looks like it is moving pretty fast.  The Cape May - Lewes ferry is like a slow boat to China and takes about an hour to cross the Deleware Bay!!

Nice Shots!! :)
