"It's either a Spitfire,  a Jumbo Jet, or Concord"


For those who don't recognise what it is, it appears to be the mortal remains of a Hawker Hunter. I'm afraid I'm not enough of a spotter to say the Mk number...

Well, for those not in the know, it's a Hunter FGA Mk.9, although it's pretty clear that it was originally built by Hawker Aircraft Ltd at Kingston-upon-Thames as a Hunter F6

When I say pretty clear, what I mean is that it's pretty clear from this website:

My guess would have been an F.6, but only because of those nice gun ports... :)

So I would have been close-ish! ;D

You ought to be careful where you put your young ones. One minute there a littl'un in a cockpit at an airshow, the next thing there an 18 year old becoming a pilot! :D
