What is that pod? Never seen that before...

I will throw a few more pics of that particular aircraft in a few to give you a better view

This is North Country Lifeflight which is a program run by NY state police.  My guess and I am almost positive is that the little pod is actually a camera.  The medics and pilot on board this aircraft are sworn NY state troopers so this aircraft is also used for law enforcement when necessary.

Also as a side note the pilot saw me taking pics and actually flew right above me stopped then flew forward.  I have some pics of him looking at me and then he backed the aircraft above me.  I love whirly birds, especially medical, fire, and law enforcement.

This is a pic of me walking from University of Vermont ambulance with my crew to Dhart.  We were responsible for all transports from UVM's helipad to Fletcher Allen hospital in Burlington.  The hospital is across the street.

The camera, under the nose, I recognize. It's the winglike pods on either side of the fuselage... maybe for electronics?
