You should have gone to that bridge that crosses the dock by the Excel centre. You can look down the centreline of the runway from quite high up there and would I think be the place to get pictures of aircraft landing. Especially with the 12X zoom on the Lumix.

Unfortunatley wood , First off all you can't park up there, 2nd of all because of the wind today in london , they landed from the other end .

What do you mean you can't park there? The Excel centres got an absolutely huge carpark. You just have to stroll round the back of the building, along the dock then up onto the bridge.
I accept your excuse about the wind direction though.

Not bad at all, but shots #4 and #5 SERIOUSLY need the horizon fixing!

Heathrow is to tight with secruity now , im not sure if my mum and dad have the time to take me all the way up there ,
Maybe stansted ,
But we will see , london city is about 5 minutes away from us , it is the easiest ,
You'll might see shots from me from air tattoo , i especially want to go this year because the USAF Thunderbirds are going ,
But during that time , we might going to UTAH for holiday!
So im not sure .
But yes , look out for more shots from me,
See you later.

Judging by your signature banner, you'll also be interested to know of another North American display hopefully making it's way to RIAT next year, the Canadian AF F18 demonstration. 8-)
